Three Ghosts women’s teams have made the finals this season.

Three Campbelltown Camden Ghosts women’s teams will be playing semi final cricket this weekend.

That’s in stark contrast to not one of the five men’s grade teams making the playoffs this season.

At the completion of the Sydney Premiership rounds on the weekend, the Ghosts second and third grade sides qualified for the finals.

The third Ghosts women’s outfit to also make the finals was the talented under 17s team playing in the Brewer Shield competition.

Their reward for finishing second is not just finals cricket but also playing their first match on Raby 1 this Sunday.

The young Ghostettes, who will host third placed Northern District Gold from 10am this Sunday March 19, will be hoping local cricket enthusiast go along to support the future stars in the women’s game.

In the other two grades, the Ghosts women will be playing their semi final matches away from home this weekend.

In second grade the Ghosts, who finished third, will be taking on second placed Parramatta in a venue yet to be confirmed.

That match is scheduled for this Sunday, March 19, with a 10am start of play.

And in third grade our women cricketers will be travelling to the south of Sydney this Saturday, March 18 to play against St George-Sutherland.

The Ghosts finished third, while the opponents were a place higher on second spot on the ladder.

Venue will be Gifford Park where play is scheduled to start from 12.30pm.

Jason Ellsmore, secretary of the Campbelltown Camden District Cricket Club, wished the three Ghosts women’s teams well on the weekend.

“Congratulations ladies for your hard work throughout the season,’’ Mr Ellsmore said on behalf of the club.

“Best of luck for this weekend’s matches.’’

The Ghosts women’s cricket teams in second and third grade and in the U17s are flying the flag this weekend for Campbelltown Camden.
