These ladies now mean business on the golf course

They say time flies when you are having fun, and this is true for the local women who participated in the most recent Business Ladies golf course at Camden Lakeside golf club.

Thirteen women from local Macarthur businesses joined the six week course to learn golfing basics or refresh their golf skills.

This group included eight ladies from Kelly Partners Chartered Accountants who wanted to be able to join their partners, friends and male colleagues on the golf course with confidence.

Big hit: February Business Ladies golf course participants with golf pro and coach Jeff Mansfield.

Judy Macdonald, one of the Kelly Partners ladies, had this to say about the course:

“The K+P ladies had a bunch of fun, met some really lovely ladies.

“We learnt a truckload of tips from our coach Jeff – what a gem – and are feeling all that more confident to get out on the course and have a confident hit instead of an apprehensive hack,’’ she said.

“The participants from Kelly Partners would thoroughly recommend the program to any aspiring female pro.”

The course kicked off in February and took place over six weeks, on Tuesday evenings from 5.30pm-7pm.

This enabled ladies to attend after work and take advantage of the extended daylight savings sunshine.

Highly regarded Camden Lakeside golf pro Jeff Mansfield runs the course with a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping new people take up golf or rekindle their love for the sport.

“Geoff runs a fantastic course and I got to learn with a lovely bunch of ladies, if you are thinking about it – book it you won’t regret it,’’ says Grace Matas, one of the February course participant.

As for Camden Lakeside they are “proud’’ of the fantastic progress made by the recent Business Ladies Golf program participants, and plan to run the course again next spring-summer.
