Teenagers charged over Mt Annan bus stop bashing, robbery

policedinkusThree teenagers have been charged with the bashing and robbery of a young man and woman at a bus stop in Mt Annan yesterday.

The trio were due to appear at a children’s court some time today.

About 12.10am on Sunday, October 23, a 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were sitting at a bus stop on the corner of Welling Drive and Banksia Street, Mt Annan.

Police will allege two teenage boys aged 17, a teenage girl aged 16, and a woman aged 19 approached the pair and commenced assaulting them repeatedly.

The group fled the scene a short time later, allegedly after stealing the man’s shoes and wallet.

Officers from Camden Local Area Command were called and arrested one of the teenage boys at the scene, who was taken to Narellan Police Station.

About 4.45pm, the second teenage boy attended Narellan Police Station; and the girl attended the same police station about 6.30pm.

The two boys and girl were charged with assault causing actual bodily harm in company, affray, and robbery in company occasioning grievous bodily harm. They were refused bail to appear at a children’s court today, Monday, October 24.

Police say they are continuing their investigation into the incident.
