Some helpful questions for our visiting Prime Minister

Prime Minister
Welcome to our town: This is what Glen Alpine looks like, Prime Minister.

Hear ye, hear ye: the ruler of our land is coming to town.

That’s right, you read it here first, Malcolm Turnbull will be guest speaker at a combined Macarthur chambers of commerce luncheon next Tuesday, March 29 at Wests Leagues Leumeah.

And no doubt the hacks from the local media will have a million and one questions to throw at our Prime Minister.

What with a budget and an election both imminent, it’s all happening, to employ a sporting analogy.

But what do you ask a Prime Minister, apart from trite things like, will you win the election and what do you really think of Bill Shorten?

This is where Top 5 comes in to lend a hand to our dear leader.

We have some curly ones for Malcolm, but we have no doubt he will be able to dispatch them all to the boundary if not over the fence for a six without resorting to Google.

Here goes :

Number 1: Did you need a GPS to find Campbelltown? OK, a cheap shot, but in our defence we say, what do you expect from amateur comedians.

Number 2: Can you name the road that connects Camden and Campbelltown? Hint: it’s just been expanded to three lanes and it starts with N.

Number 3: What NRL footy team plays some of its home games at Campbelltown Stadium? Need a hint on this one, too? There’s two words in the name.

Number 4:  What is the highest price ever paid for a house in Glen Alpine? Over or under a million? Take a guess, we don’t mind.

Number 5: Who founded Campbelltown and what year? Hint: He named the town after his wife’s maiden name and it was almost 200 years ago.
