Club stalwart Chris Lawrence returns from injury for the Wests Tigers this Sunday against the Manly Sea Eagles.

Vice captain Chris Lawrence has been named in the starting line up for the club’s round 19 away match against the high flying Manly Sea Eagles on Sunday.

The backrower returns from a hamstring injury suffered in round 13.

Coach Ivan Cleary named him in the number 11 jumper for the Manly clash.

With a semi final spot out of reach now, Cleary will use what remains of the season to start building for next season when big guns Josh Reynolds, Russell Packer, Ben Mataulino and Co will get on the Wests Tigers bus.

The club’s two NSW State of Origin representatives Aaron Woods and James Tedesco have both been named to play and will be monitored following Wednesday’s big game.

Cleary will be looking for signs the team is on the right track after a solid win against Newcastle last start.

The Tigers have a four point buffer between themselves and last placed Newcastle, but the Knights are an improving team so the wooden spoon will be in play until the final round.
