While the Group Six rugby league premiership took a breather for Mother’s Day on the weekend, the GSR-Wests Tigers ladies league tag team continued their successful run through the 2018 CRL Country Championships with a convincing 40-8 win over Monaro in Wagga Wagga.

GSR-Wests Tigers progress onto the semi finals next Saturday and will play Illawarra South Coast in what will be their hardest game so far this draw.

The venue of the games will be either Goulburn or Wollongong and will be confirmed by the CRL later today, but the 11am kick-off will remain the same.

As for the GSR-Wests Tigers ladies, it was no surprise they were sporting big smiles when their photo was taken after the match

On Saturday night at Lynwood Park it was a mauling for the home team, Macarthur Rams, who were blown away 7-2 by the Western Sydney Wanderers in a round 11 NPL men’s 2 competition match.

Making it a really miserable night for local fans, three Rams players also received yellow cards and a fourth was marched off when shown a red card by the referee.

After just two wins and one draw from 11 matches the Rams sit equal last on the ladder with Blacktown Spartans on seven points.

The Rams are away to Mounties this Sunday in round 12.
