It will be raining free hot dogs when the Bavarian restaurant opens its doors for the first time at Macarthur Square on Saturday, June 29.

As part of the opening celebrations, Bavarian Macarthur will give away 500 free hotdogs from 11am.

But the Bavarian will bring much more to Macarthur than just its legendary pork knuckle, crackling pork belly and other German culinary classics.

There is also the creation of 45 full-time and casual positions when the restaurant opens. Around 50 professionals and tradespeople worked on the project, located at the Menangle Road entrance to the shopping centre, directly below Events Cinemas and adjacent to Macarthur train station.

The Bavarian Macarthur, Rockpool Dining Group’s 18th Bavarian restaurant in NSW and 32nd in Australia, will accommodate up to 420 guests, including around 150 seats outdoors.

“Our Bavarian restaurants have a large and loyal following in NSW and we’re thrilled to be bringing our first daily deal packed destination to Macarthur,” says Thomas Pash, Rockpool dining group chief executive officer.

“The Bavarian has a strong culture of promoting employees who perform well and display leadership qualities, so there are excellent career development opportunities for the right candidates.”

Bavarian Macarthur will offer locals a taste of Bavarian hospitality and food, as well as a large range of imported and local beers.

The Bavarian is a casual, contemporary restaurant with design features that reflect its Bavarian heritage, including stone walls, alpine finishes and large, communal wood tables.

Signature features include a custom designed vintage beer barrel wall, bespoke signage and an impressive beer stein chandelier holding over 500 1-litre glass steins suspended above the bar.

An expansive open dining area is strewn with green plants and ivy garlands, adding a splash of colour and fresh feel, while bare brick walls add an urban edge.

Large communal and high, beer barrel tables are situated on either side of a central bar, while two drinking ledges are positioned at the entrance of the restaurant and feature high stool, window seating.

A spacious, semi covered beer garden, accommodating up to 150 guests, features a mix of seating for large groups and couples.
