Fred’s Friday Foodie Feast
Delectable delights will be on offer at Fred’s Friday Foodie Feast on November 3.

The popular Friday night food markets in Mawson Park, Campbelltown will explode with colour and lights, world cuisine, music and more on the first night of the 2017 Festival of Fisher’s Ghost.

The festival runs from Friday, November 3 to Sunday, November 12, and Fred’s Friday Foodie Feast will be held as part of the festival for the first time.

Campbelltown Council has been partnering with market provider Eat Shop Love to deliver the Macarthur Night Markets on the first and third Friday of each month since June.

The pilot project will be wrapping up on December 15.

But in the meantime, Fred’s Friday Foodie Feast will feature a host of food stalls with tasty treats to tantalise the tastebuds, markets stalls and live entertainment in a family friendly street fair atmosphere between 5pm and 9pm.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, encouraged the community to come along to the special night market, and enjoy the variety of foods on offer under ambient lights, in one of Campbelltown’s most popular parks.

“Fred’s Friday Foodie Feast is one of the many family-friendly events on offer through this year’s festival,’’ he said.

“Come along and celebrate Campbelltown’s community spirit and keep an eye out for Fred, Australia’s best known ghost,” the mayor said.

For those who don’t know Campbelltown too well, Mawson Park is on the corner of Queen and Cordeaux Streets, Campbelltown, and is only a short walk from the Broughton Street or Short Street public car parks.
