The Camden Cats men’s division three side has climbed to the top of the ladder with a huge 147 point win against the Pennant Hills Demons on Saturday.

In windy conditions, the Cats outclassed their opposition from the first bounce, kicking with amazing accuracy and sharing the goal-kicking duties around with 11 individual goal kickers for the game.

The midfield was sublime with big ruck man John “Irish” Murtagh leading the charge as he dominated the hit outs and helped Camden to easily win the clearances on the stats sheet.

He was well supported in the centre by Beau Snellman, Jarrod Campbell and Liam Morrison, who had a great return to form from a recent hand injury.

Camden Cats were just too good for the Demons.

The Camden backline was rock solid all day; not allowing the Demons forwards to score a single goal for the game.

The scoreline has given the Cats a big percentage boost with five rounds remaining until finals.

Hayden Marsh and Jihad Ykmour kicked 5 goals each for the Cats; but the most impressive goal kicker was Jarrod Campbell who kicked 5 majors from the midfield.

Camden’s division three men’s side will face local rivals the Campbelltown Blues this Saturday; while the Premier Division side is on the road at Sydney Uni.
