Wests Tigers have confirmed they will play three NRL matches at Campbelltown Sports Ground each season for the next two years.

Wests Tigers have confirmed the club’s commitment to its suburban grounds for at least the coming two seasons.

The club will play three games at both Campbelltown Sports Stadium and Leichhardt Oval in 2019, and at least three at both venues in 2020.

The new agreements with Campbelltown City Council and Inner West Council ensure that Wests Tigers will continue to take elite level Rugby League to suburban grounds.

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said that the club was proud to be able to continue to play at both venues.

“We’re proud to be a club with such a strong history at Campbelltown Sports Stadium and Leichhardt Oval and it’s great that we’re able to continue playing at venues until at least the end of 2020,” Pascoe said.

“Both stadiums have played an important role in our history, and that of our two foundation clubs, and we’re pleased to be able to continue that.

“Suburban grounds provide a unique atmosphere for our players, members and supporters, with some of our fondest memories as a club coming at these two stadiums,” he said.

“In recent years we’ve worked hard to add to the game day experience at both Campbelltown Sports Stadium and Leichhardt Oval to give all games a real special event feeling and we’ll be continuing that over the next two seasons.

“We have a strong working relationship with both Campbelltown City Council and Inner West Council and we look forward to building on that over the coming seasons,” he said.

“We’re much more than 80 minutes of football on the weekend and are working hard to make a positive difference in the lives of those in our community.”

The game allocation for both Campbelltown Sports Stadium and Leichhardt Oval will be confirmed when the 2019 NRL draw is released later this year.

Wests Tigers have also confirmed that next year they will play four games in the new stadium at Parramatta, Western Sydney Stadium, which will have seating for 30,000 spectators.
