Victorious: Shannon Gallant on the burst for the Eagles on the weekend at Waminda Oval.

In front of a big home crowd at Waminda Oval on Sunday, the East Campbelltown Eagles continued their winning streak with a dominating display against Cabramatta in the Sydney Shield rugby league premiership.

The Eagles romped to a 32-4 victory in the round seven clash to grab a share of the lead on the ladder.

Chris Standing crossed for the first try of the match and Sean Connor converted for an early 6-0 lead.

The visitors hit back to make it 6-4, but that was going to be as good as it got for the Two Blues.

The home side defence showed why the Eagles are a real force in 2018 with some brutal collisions.

Eagles ran in two quick tries through Jarryd Eggleton and Mason Talolua, and Connor converted both tries for a commanding 18-4 lead at the break.
The second half half saw 19 year old Alex Potifara cross for two tries to stretch the Eagles’ lead to 28-4.

Winger Daniel Muir crossed for the final try of the game and the 32-4 scoreboard.

Best for the Eagles were Jarryd Eggleton, Aaron Teariki,
Kobe Chamblain and Alex Potifara.

The Eagles return home again this Sunday, May 27 when they host the Guildford Owls at Waminda Oval from 2.45pm.
