An exquisite topaz and diamond pendant valued at $3,999 will be raffled at the Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner to support the installation of a new, interactive and accessible playground at Beverley Park School for students with physical, intellectual or multiple disabilities.
The community is invited to lend their support to the fundraiser by purchasing a raffle ticket for the chance to win a stunning handmade 9ct gold and diamond pendant, donated by Hennings Jewellers, featuring a 12.8ct pear-shaped blue topaz.
Only 200 raffle tickets will be sold, giving entrants a 1 in 200 chance to win.
The Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner will be held at Campbelltown Arts Centre on Saturday, June 17, embracing a “secret garden’’ theme that will showcase the beauty of the Arts Centre surrounds while celebrating Beverley Park School students.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said that, while tickets for the gala dinner had already sold out, every dollar would help make a difference, and businesses, organisations and residents were encouraged to support the event through sponsorship, purchasing raffle tickets, or making donations.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has rallied behind the fundraiser, and Beverley Park School’s playground project, by purchasing tickets for the gala dinner, taking up sponsorship opportunities, and pledging funds,” he said.
“We are endeavouring to raise as much money as we can to support the installation of the new playground, which will help meet the sensory needs of students, bringing their classroom outdoors, and would encourage the community to continue to dig deep.”
Raffle tickets are $50 each, and will be available from 1 June at Council’s Civic Centre, corner of Broughton and Queen Streets, Campbelltown or at Beverley Park School, Beverley Road, Campbelltown.
