Three people hurt in two car crash along Appin Road

Appin Road was once again the centre of attention this afternoon after a two vehicle crash near Rosemeadow.

Investigations are under way into the crash which left at least three people with injuries that required hospitalisation.

The accident occurred just after lunch time.

Police said that emergency services were called to Appin Road when a Suzuki Vitara and a Honda Accord had collided around two kilometres south of Copperfield Drive, Rosemeadow.

The driver of the Suzuki Vitara, a man aged in his 70s, was trapped in the vehicle for a period of time before being released.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a suspected broken collarbone, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital.

His female passenger, a woman aged in her 70s, was also treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital.

The driver of the Honda Accord, a man aged in his 60s, was not injured.

However his two female passengers, believed to be aged in their 20s and 60s were assessed at the scene by paramedics.

The 20-year-old woman was taken to Campbelltown Hospital with minor injuries.

Officers attached to Campbelltown Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
