Showcase coming to Camden just for laughs

Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase Tour will be headed Camden way next month.

It will be the seventh year in a row the crème de la crème of the festival will be performed in Camden.

The Showcase will be at Camden Civic Centre on Thursday, June 6, from 7.30pm.

 Expertly curated and hilariously presented, the Showcase will feature some of the festival’s hottest acts live on stage for an incredible two hours of hard-hitting laughter.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said the Showcase included a line-up of veteran favourites, international stars, and some of the freshest emerging talents.

 “This Showcase is just jam-packed with entertainment that will leave your stomach sore from lots of laughing!” Cr Fedeli said.

“There are rave reviews about this Showcase and it’s promising to be the perfect night out with friends and family.”

The Showcase is recommended for people aged 15 years and over and tickets are $35.

 There are a number of other exciting events and shows coming up at Camden Civic Centre, including:

  • Smashing, Kitty Flanagan’s comedy show about algorithms, chimps, psychics and everything in between, on Friday, June 14, 7.30pm (recommended for people aged 15 years and over);
  • Trivia night for youth mental health on Saturday, June 15, 6.30pm. This event will raise money for Headspace Australia; and
  • A Commemorative Titanic dinner party on Saturday, June 22, 6pm. The event will feature a six-course, first-class dinner, as was served aboard the Titanic.
