The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan has expanded its National Science Week program this year to include two free, family fun days jam-packed with stalls, shows and science interactives.

This will be the biggest National Science Week ever at the Garden with an epic line-up of children’s entertainment, science activities and hands-on fun guaranteed to bring excitement and wonder to kids and grown-ups alike.

Families, locals and science lovers are encouraged to join in the celebrations and make the most of these fantastic offerings, all completely free of charge.

♦ Science in the Wild

An outdoor family fun day in the grounds of the beautiful Australian Botanic Garden.

Sunday 13 August 2017; 10am to 3pm; free, all ages.

Highlights: Roaming dinosaur, hands-on science, venomous snakes, frogs, wildlife, shark in a bus, robots and much more

♦ PlantBank Party

A party at the hub of Australian seed research, celebrating science with maximum fun.

Saturday 19 August 2017; 11am to 3pm; free; all ages.

Highlights: Treasure hunt, prizes, music, hands-on science, seed display, insects, reptiles, BBQ and coffee
