The Macarthur Rams have bounced back from defeat with a solid win at home on the weekend.

The Macarthur Rams have bounced back from last week’s 2-0 defeat to the Central Coast Mariners.

A first half double to Elsid Barkhousir saw the three points stay at Lynwood Park on Saturday night after a 2-1 victory over North Shore.

The home side proved too strong for the visitors in the round four match of the National Premier Leagues Men’s 2 competition.

North Shore replied through Ricky Woodward but for the second time in two weeks, the visitors had to play a large portion of the game a man short.

Julian Aguirre was given a straight red card not long after half time.

Macarthur also finished with ten men on the field, but Ben Cornish’s send off, in time added on, had little effect to the end result.

Which was a good one for the Rams, now equal sixth on the ladder after four rounds.

The Macarthur team suffered its first defeat of the season last week in round three when it was hosted by the Central Coast Mariners.

For the home side the 2-0 result was their second win on the trot.

Goals by Adam Berry and Lachlan Wales sealed the result, with the Rams unable to reply.

In round 5, the Macarthur Rams will head to nearby Bossley Park where they will take on home side Marconi Stallions next Sunday, April 3.

The match will kick off at 3pm.
