Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will be guest speaker at a combined Macarthur chambers of commerce luncheon at Wests Leagues on Tuesday, March 29.

The little chamber that could has done it again and this time it has landed an even bigger fish – Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

Ingleburn chamber of commerce – with a little help from a local MP – has got the Prime Minister agreeing to attend and speak at a special luncheon in Macarthur later this month.

Almost exactly a year ago the Ingleburn chamber of commerce snared the premier of NSW, Mike Baird, to be its guest speaker at special luncheon held at Wests Leagues, just days out from the 2015 state election.

On Tuesday, March 29, Malcolm Turnbull will be the guest speaker at the same venue.

Mr Phil Occhiuto, secretary of the Ingleburn business group, has confirmed that the Prime Minister’s office had agreed for Mr Turnbull to attend.

The PM’s visit may end rumblings that he has not yet visited western or south west Sydney since his elevation to the top job last September.

Mr Occhiuto said the chamber wanted to thank the federal member for Macarthur, Russell Matheson for “facilitating’’ the PM’s appearance on March 29.

Ingleburn chamber will be working in conjunction with other chambers of commerce in the electorate of Macarthur as well as Campbelltown City Council to ensure the event is a success.

The Prime Minister’s special luncheon on Tuesday, March 29 will be a 12 noon for 12.30pm start event at Wests Leagues Club, Leumeah.

To register a seat or a table at the luncheon to hear the Prime Minister of Australia, visit the Ingleburn chamber of commerce website here.
