Benji Marshall has been named captain for the Wests Tigers when they host Brisbane Broncos at Campbelltown Sports Stadium this Friday night.

The round three NRL match will be one of the biggest at Campbelltown in recent years.

Wests Tigers are undefeated, while the Broncos are always a big drawcard, so a big crowd will be expected to pack Campbelltown Sports Ground, especially if the weather is fine.

As well as having an in form Banji Marshall calling the shots, Macarthur fans will be pleased to hear local hero David Nofoaluma has been selected on one wing by head coach Ivan Cleary.

Nofoaluma was a shock axing from Cleary’s first round team which upset the Roosters.

But the flamboyant winger received a recall for last week’s heroic victory over the Storm in Melbourne.

The big question on Friday night will be if the Wests Tigers can continue their winning form and make it three from three.

Unfortunately they will miss the services of workhorse Elijah Taylor, who was unavailable for selection after picking up a hamstring injury against the Melbourne Storm.

Opening round fullback Tui Lolohea will also miss Friday’s game as he recovers from a knee injury.

Both will be monitored over the coming week.

But other than those two, Ivan Cleary has selected an unchanged team for the Broncos clash.

The club says that because of the short turnaround this week off the back of the Melbourne game there will be no training session scheduled for Campbelltown leading into Friday night’s game.

A recovery session yesterday and a Captain’s Run tomorrow were both scheduled for Concord.

In the Intrust Super Premiership, Western Suburbs Magpies coach Bret Hodgson has also named his team to host Wyong at 1pm on Saturday, March 24 at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

The Magpies are also undefeated after two rounds.
