Honours: previous local winners of Telstra business awards.

Anne Stanley, the local federal member is keen to see Werriwa businesses gain recognition, so she is encouraging local to nominate them for honours in this year’s Telstra awards.

“It is time for Werriwa to nominate local business and charities for the 2017 Telstra Business Awards,’’ said the Member for Werriwa.

The prestigious Telstra awards are now in their 25th year.

They celebrate the achievements and entrepreneurial spirit of Australia’s small to medium businesses as well as local charity organisations – of which there are plenty in the Macarthur region.

“Local businesses and charities are drivers in our community and provide jobs for our community every day”, Ms Stanley said.

“Nominations for these awards go towards recognising the unique place small businesses and charities hold in our community.”

Nominations can be made in two categories, which are:

• New Business Award – operating for one to three years with up to 200 employees
• Micro Business Award – with five or fewer employees
• Small Business Award – with more than five and up to 20 employees
• Medium Business Award – with more than 20 and up to 200 employees
• Charity Award – ACNC registered with DGR status, between one and 200 employees and an annual income of between $250,000 and $10 million.

If anyone would like to nominate a Werriwa business or charity organisation, please visit the awards website link here or call 1800 AWARDS.

Entries have opened since yesterday, Monday, January 30 and will close on March 16.
