Man, 37, charged over stabbing in Claymore

policeemblemA man has been charged in the wake of yesterday afternoon’s stabbing in Claymore.

About 3.20pm (Friday, October 21), emergency services were called to Ramsay Way, Claymore, following reports of a stabbing.

When police arrive don the scene they found a 36-year-old man with a stab wound to his stomach.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital.

A short time later patrolling police located a 37-year-old man at the intersection of Dobell Road and Norman Crescent, Claymore.

He was suffering from a laceration to his right cheek and was taken to Campbelltown Hospital under police guard.

Upon being released he was taken to Macquarie Fields Police Station where he was charged with malicious wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to attend Parramatta Bail Court today, Saturday, October 22.

The 36-year-old man remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition following surgery.
