Lakeside Golf Club caps memberships

Lakeside Golf Club has capped seven day memberships because it can no longer cater for any more golfers on Saturdays.

The popular course, located off Raby Road in Gledswood Hills, has had a large influx of new members over the past couple of years.

Those considering joining Lakeside Golf Club can still apply by completing an application form, but they will be put on a waiting list.

After the mid-July renewal period for golfing members is complete, and if there is availability, those on the wait list will be contacted.

Midweek and Sunday memberships are still available at Lakeside.

The course is par 72 over 6,400 metres and is ranked in the top 100 courses in the country by the Australian Golf Union.

The design is a links-style course, embracing traditional golfing heritage.

Three of the tee positions cater for all levels, and for the more adventurous golfer, there are five tiger tees.

Part of Wests Group Macarthur, Lakeside offers a beautifully landscaped course plus a first class function centre and gardens.

Lakeside ranks as one of the top five golf clubs in Sydney and the very best in the South West Sydney region.

And it will be even better once planned improvements such as a brand new three line irrigation system and 18 new greens are complete.

  1. The Leagues Club investment in this club is another great example of the value of the Leagues Club in the district and when the new 9 holes are completed Lakesland will be even better and a great community asset
