Investigation launched: two pedestrians hit in Ingleburn

Crash Investigation Unit officers have launched an urgent probe into how two pedestrians were struck by a black Ford Focus sedan this morning near the Ingleburn shopping centre.

They would like to speak to any person who witnessed the crash, and are especially interested in anyone with dash cam vision of the incident.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Harold and Oxford Streets, Ingleburn, about 7.30am (Friday, October 13), after reports that two pedestrians were struck by a car.

One of the pedestrians, a woman aged in her 40s, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital where she remains in a serious condition.

The second pedestrian, a man, also aged in his 40s, sustained minor injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a woman also aged in her 40s, was uninjured.

She was taken to Liverpool Hospital to undergo mandatory testing.

Officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command have established a crime scene and police from the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
