The camel rides are becoming synonymous with the annual Ingleburn Alive festival.

Mark Saturday, March 11 on the calendar and head to Oxford Road, Ingleburn for the popular annual street party, Ingleburn Alive.

That’s less than two weeks away, when Ingleburn’s main street will be awash with vibrant colours, festive sounds and tasty aromas as carnival rides, food and market stalls, entertainers and revellers take the place of cars.

More than eight hours of stage entertainment will offer something for everyone.

The young (and young at heart), will love joining the stars of Trolls – Poppy and Branch – as they embark on a journey of learning about each other, and there’ll even be the chance for a meet and greet after the shows.

Young, up and coming Sydney-based band, The Connection, will have revellers dancing in the street with their mix of jazz, blues, rock, pop and soul sounds, as will Le Groove Dance Company, who’ll showcase their unique program of dance classes – from modern jive to solo cha-cha.

Headline act Gang of Brothers won’t disappoint, with a mix of original tunes and popular funk rock covers.

There’ll also be a host of family friendly activities at Ingleburn Public School, including fun inflatable play, craft, a petting zoo and the ever popular camel rides.

The festival wouldn’t be complete without the spectacular fireworks display in Milton Park at 8.30pm.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said Ingleburn Alive would be jam packed with exciting performances on stage, a variety of market stalls and lots of other activities the whole family would enjoy.

“Ingleburn Alive’s diverse entertainment program, featuring school students, professional performers and loveable characters like the Trolls on stage, combined with activities ranging from craft to camel rides, ensures it remains a popular event on the local calendar, year in and year out,” he said.

“It’s a great opportunity to bring the community together, and allows the northern end of our city to shine.”

Stalls will operate along Oxford Road, Ingleburn from 11am to 8.30pm on the day.

The following roads will be closed to traffic from 5am until midnight:

Oxford Road, from Cumberland Road to Ingleburn Road;

Carlisle Street, from Boots Lane, in the north, to the car park access in the south;

Nardoo Street, from Oxford Road, in the north, to the car park access in the south;

Ingleburn Alive is a drug and alcohol free event.  Police will enforce Alcohol Free Zones and no alcohol of any kind will be permitted in the area.
