He may be a ‘good bloke’ but thanks for nothing, Cory Bernardi

Cory Bernardi.
Wrong move, Cory Bernardi.

A friend of mine who’s in politics has assured me several times Cory Bernardi is “a good bloke’’.

Fine, OK, especially considering they are on different sides of politics.

And to be fair his honesty in the approach he took to issues was admirable.

But surely now we can picture another description of the senator from South Australia: deluded.

He harbours the delusion that he can save the political system, no less.

Well, he may be a “good bloke’’ but he’s no Donald Trump.

Hell, he’s not even a Pauline Hanson or Nick Xenophon, as he is about to find out the hard way.

Bernardi got a lot of media attention because he was critical of his own party.

Despite what he thinks, he will find out there is a very crowded market out there when it comes to critics of Malcolm Turnbull and his government.

Grab a ticket and get in the queue, buddy, behind the rest of us.

And while there ponder the “sacrifice’’ you have just made: resigning form the Liberal Party.

But you did not resign from your cushy six year senator’s position and the lovely salary and perks.

Funny, that.

Sorry to inform you, Mr Bernardi, but you’ve wasted your time and ours.

Nothing will really change in politics until we have got rid of most of the current lot and replaced them with people who won’t treat us like mugs.

In other words we need to shake up the system, drain the swamp as POTUS says, and start with a clean slate once again.

The only thing we can be grateful to Cory Bernardi for is that he has provided us with another reminder of the need to change the system.

And in this country it means the whole lot, from local councils up to state government and all the way to Canberra.

Now that’s a beautiful picture.

  1. Bernadi thinks he is another Trump because he spent 3 months, at our expense, in the US. The reson why there is such discontent with politicians and government at all levels is that now with social media and all the other platforms like South West Voice we can see why wages are stagnant and the rich are getting richer. The head of the Post Office gets $4.6 Million a year. Come the day of liberation
