The annual Fisher’s Ghost fun run is a very popular community event.

Entries are now open for the 2016 Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run.

This popular event is one of the highlights of Campbelltown’s biggest community event, the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost.

Campbelltown City Council hosts the inclusive fun run event, which caters for all ages and abilities and brings the community together on the last day of the city’s trademark annual celebration.

Held on the Campbelltown campuses of Western Sydney University and NSW TAFE South Western Sydney Institute, the Fun Run starting gun fires at 8am on Sunday, November 13 and the race will see participants competing over a scenic 5km or 10km course.

Online entry makes participation easy, and with four team categories for the 5km course, including primary school, high school, corporate and open, it’s a great opportunity to get friends and colleagues together for some healthy activity.

Corporate and open teams can also compete over the 10km track, and walkers are welcome in all events.

From the arts to music, movies, skating and carnival rides, the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost offers something for everyone, and while the Fun Run is an opportunity for serious runners to compete, it’s also a great event for people who just want to walk the course and enjoy the atmosphere.

Marsdens Law Group are once again the major sponsor of the Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run.

The entry fee is $35 for adults and $20 for children under 16 years.

For registrations prior to race day, a family ticket for two adults and two children is available for $95.

All entrants who complete the course will receive a free dri-wear event t-shirt, and there are loads of great prizes on offer in the barrel draw – so even participants who don’t take honours in one of the many categories won’t go home empty handed.

Competitors can enter online via the official festival website, or pick up an entry form and pay in person at Council’s Civic Centre or Eagle Vale Central.

In person registrations close at 4.30pm on October 19, with online entries closing at 11.59pm on November 9. Participants who register after October 19 must collect their bib number from the race venue concourse on November 12 between 11am and 2pm, or before 7.45am on race day.
