More than 4,000 expressions of interest have been received from people eager to secure a home in Ed.Square, the new community at Edmondson Park designed as a well-connected, edgy, urban neighbourhood that’s set to be a game changer for South West Sydney.

Residents of the new Frasers Property Australia community will have access to a diverse mix of amenities and a train station, all within walking distance of their homes.

Ed.Square delivers on the new Australian dream, where the backyard has evolved into a preference for better public spaces that connect people.

Pricing and floorplans for the wide variety of home styles at Ed.Square will be available in April, when detailed briefing sessions will be held for everyone who has expressed interest in the new community.

The housing mix is expected to comprise apartments, terraces and town homes, with prices starting from $450,000.

Ed.Square is adjacent to Edmondson Park train station and will comprise over six hectares of open space and a wide variety of housing styles and floorplans across 992 apartments and 890 terrace and townhouses.

The first residents are expected to move into their homes in late 2019.

A 68-metre high residential tower atop the town centre is set to become an architectural landmark, the epicentre from which the village will expand into the streets and laneways that will flow into parks and bushland.

Simone Dyer, design director – NSW Residential, Frasers Property Australia, says Ed.Square progresses the great Australian dream by delivering architecturally designed housing options in a vibrant, connected and innovative community, where the range of amenities and public spaces act as an extension of the homes.

“The mix of residences at Ed.Square are spatially configured to interface effortlessly with the community’s laneways, open spaces and neighbouring dwellings,” Ms Dyer says.

“The thoughtfully designed homes and external amenity will create a contemporary urban village which integrates seamlessly with entertainment options, a dining precinct, retail shops and a school, all within 400 metres.

“It doesn’t matter whether you purchase a larger home or an apartment at Ed.Square, the design quality of the internal layout, fixtures and finishes is consistent across the home styles,” she says.

The Ed.Square design, the result of a partnership between world class architectural firms HDR, GroupGSA and HASSELL, will have an inner city aesthetic with an urban village feel in a leafy neighbourhood, all while delivering choice and value for money.

One of the major benefits of this blend is convenience, says Nigel Edgar, general manager – NSW Residential, Frasers Property Australia.

“Residents at Ed.Square will have everything they need to live, shop, eat and play in the one place and within walking distance of their home. Connectivity and walkability are key aspects of our vision,” Mr Edgar said.

“People can meet their neighbours at the community swimming pool, tennis courts, or shopping and dining precinct, which will include a fresh food market place, cinema, 24-hour gym, tavern and healthcare facilities.

“We have listened to the needs of the community and the desire for a wide variety of housing which provides options for everyone – singles, couples, young families and multi-generational households.

“At Ed.Square, families can maintain close connections throughout the various stages of their lifecycle,” he said.

The connectivity extends to easy access to public transport, with convenient bus and train links to Parramatta and Sydney CBD, along with access to Sydney’s main roads.

Liverpool is just three train stops away from Edmondson Park station and Sydney’s future second airport at Badgerys Creek will be close by.
