This Saturday’s Date Night sunset cinema event at Oran Park will have more than a free movie on the program.
The first time event being hosted by Camden Council will also offer live music from The Bells, a local acoustic cover band who will perform some of their own music as well as featuring some favourite cover songs.
But wait, there’s more.
On the culinary front, gourmet food will be for sale, including cheese platters, gelato ice cream, drinks and popcorn.
The council is encouraging couples and friends to pack a picnic, bring a rug and nestle under the night sky for a relaxing outdoor movie night from 6.30pm this Saturday, February 11.
Venue will be the Town Park in Central Avenue, Oran Park.
Crazy Stupid Love is the movie, which will be screened from 8pm. It has an M15+ rating.
“The inaugural Date Night event is sure to be a relaxing evening, where couples and friends can get together and enjoy a free movie screening outdoors,” says Mayor of Camden, Cr Lara Symkowiak.
“Audiences are encouraged to arrive before the movie screening to enjoy live music and delicious food in an outdoor setting within Oran Park’s new Town Park. “With the event being held the weekend before Valentine’s Day, this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate locally.
“Date Night is Camden Council’s newest event and we’re committed to continuing to deliver a range of events for our local community to enjoy,” Cr Symkowiak said.
Free car parking will be available at Oran Park Town shopping centre car park (entry via Oran Park Drive), as well as Camden Council car park (entry via Dairy Street).
