Raby Sports Complex will host the Perpetual Round grade cricket match between Ghosts and Gordon this Saturday.

The Sydney grade cricket competition resumes with Round 15 this coming weekend.

Known as the Perpetual Round, it will have Camden Campbelltown Ghosts hosting Gordon at the Raby Sports Complex, while the Fairfield Liverpool Lions will be at Rosedale Oval to take on Parramatta.

While first grace players enjoyed a rare bye last weekend, Ghosts lower grades played on, with seconds taking on Parramatta at Raby.

The visitors closed their innings at the start of day two having lost eight wickets for 327 runs.

The Ghosts started their run chase positively with an opening stand of 40 runs before losing two wickets to be 2/58.

Coyte and Maguire settled the innings with a 50 run partnership.

Just before lunch Maguire lost his wicket having just reached the half century mark.

Despite losing two more wickets after lunch, Coyte (69) and Browne (45) played strongly to get the score to 238. Some bold attacking cricket from lower order batsmen took the score to all out for 302.

Third grade were away to Parramatta at Merrylands. The home side finished with 5/291 from their 80 overs.

ZIn reply, the  Ghosts scored steadily in their run chase with Brown (49) and Viles (44) continuing their good form.

Some lusty hitting from tail ender Halloran (38 not out) helped the innings finish at  a tantalizing close 271.

In fourt grade Ghosts  batted first and were skittled for just 85 runs. The bowlers then took charge and made good use of the same wicket to have Parramatta reeling at 6/40 runs after 32 overs.

Resuming on day two, Ghosts was successful in dismissing Parramatta for 73 runs.

In their second innings the Ghosts declared at 7/118 runs, leaving Parramatta to get 128 runs off 28 overs for outright victory.

Which they did with an over to spare.

Ghosts fifth grade bowled well for a young side to restrict Parramatta to 226.

In reply, after being 7/78 on day one, Ghosts showed more resolve, with the last four batters adding 93 to finish on a respectable 179 runs.
