Campbelltown City Christmas Carols
Don’t miss it: the Campbelltown City Christmas Carols event will be on at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday, December 2.

Christmas is just around the corner and locals are invited to join in celebrating the start of the festive season at the annual Campbelltown City Christmas Carols event at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday, December 2.

Make a night of it with family and friends and sing along with a line-up of talented local vocalists.

They include Kate Shaw, Paul Jenkins, Zoe Cooper, Darion Dillon, Paige Brooker and Peter McWhirter, who released his debut album Lucky as a Seven in September, and will perform traditional Christmas carols and his own music.

Radio station C91.3FM’s Josh Webster will host the event, which will bring the festive season to life with more than three hours of carols favourites, a live band, a special visit from Santa Claus and a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm to bring the celebrations to a colourful close.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, encouraged residents across Campbelltown City to bring a picnic, blanket and their best singing voices, and soak up the atmosphere of a fantastic community event.

“Campbelltown’s carols event is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit, giving locals the opportunity to enjoy time with family, friends and neighbours at an excellent local venue, without the time and cost of travelling to an event in Sydney,” he said.

Entry is free, via the western gates only (adjacent to railway station and club), from 5pm. Parking is available on both sides of the railway line, with easy access to the stadium via the pedestrian bridge from the western car park.

Campbelltown City Christmas Carols is a drug and alcohol-free event, sponsored by Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Rotary Clubs of Campbelltown and Macarthur Sunrise.

[Residents are reminded that fireworks can easily scare animals. If your pet tends to be frightened by loud noises, make sure you keep them restrained or inside the house on Saturday, December 2.]
