Camden Cats wrap up minor premiership with master class in windy conditions

Camden Cats wrap up minor premiership with master class in windy conditions

The Camden Cats have secured the division 3 men’s minor premiership with a comfortable 52 point win against Macquarie University. Overcoming a sluggish start in the blustery conditions last Saturday at University Oval, the Cats found their mojo in the second quarter to kick their way to a 20 point lead at the main break, with Bailey Kennedy and Beau Snellman unstoppable in the midfield. The second half was a dominant display from the visitors as the Camden defensive stood resolute, only allowing a measly 4 points to be scored by the Warriors as the Cats pilled on another 5… Read more »

Josh Reynolds may just be what Wests Tigers need right now

There’s plenty of talk Josh Reynolds will be playing for another club in 2020, but for now he may be just be what Wests Tigers need. Their finals hopes are hanging by a thread after they were shut out of the game by Manly last week, going down 32-12, but they can still make it. For that to happen, a lot of other results will have to go their way and they must win their remaining three matches, starting with the Knights this Saturday at Campbelltown Sports Stadium. Newcastle are in the same boat as Wests Tigers, on 20 points… Read more »

Wests Tigers hit rock bottom

It had to be. Rock bottom. After the week in hell. And so it was. In the deep north of Australia. More than 2,000 kilometres from Balmain. Even more from Campbelltown. About 50 more, give or take. It was 20-0 after 20 minutes, but most Wests fans would have believedRead more »

The song in grandma’s time said ‘‘you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone’’ and I have to admit that’s how I feel about Braith Anasta now. For most of the season a posse of Wests Tigers observers have been calling for Anasta’s head, because they felt he wasn’tRead more »
