Camden brawl charge: teen hurt, car damaged

3copsA teenager has been charged and investigations continue into a brawl which left a car damaged and another teen injured at Camden overnight.

About 10pm last night (Tuesday, September 29), police from Camden Local Area Command responded to reports of approximately 20 youths fighting and damaging property outside a home on Flinders Avenue, Camden South.

The youths left prior to police arriving.

A 17-year-old teenage boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for a bleeding nose and superficial cuts and abrasions.

Police made several patrols of the area as they tried to find those involved in the incident.

A short time later, officers sighted a vehicle at Mt Annan allegedly involved in the incident and spoke with the occupants.

A 16-year-old teenage boy was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with assault, being armed with intent, enter enclosed lands and affray.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before children’s court on October 26.

Inquiries into the incident are continuing with further arrests expected to be made.
